Reflex Sensors for Contrast Measurement

Reflex Sensors for Contrast Measurement measure the brightness of objects. A voltage within a range of 0 … 10 V DC is made available at the analog output and is proportional to the measured degree of brightness. Voltage increases along with the degree of brightness. A switching output allows for brightness monitoring with a pre-selected value.

Reflex Sensors for Roller Conveyor Systems work in accordance with the principal of angular measurement, Retro-Reflex Sensors for Roller Conveyor Systems work as Retro-Reflex Sensors. For this reason, the object’s color, shape and surface characteristics have practically no influence on the sensor’s ability to recognize conveyed materials. The sensors are equipped with control logic for congestion-free and collision-free transport. An electromagnetic valve for the control of the pneumatics is optional.

Light Curtains Pick to Light

The Light Curtains Pick to Light allow for error prevention during partial picking processes in shelves and storage locations. An integrated green and red light job display shows the user when part picking processes were carried out correctly or incorrectly. The Pick to Light Curtains function on the basis of the Retro-Reflex principle. Both the transmitter and receiver are integrated in the same housing and require a reflector for their function. The reflector is pre-installed on the rear of the housing and reflects the neighboring Light Curtain.

Light Curtain for Measuring Tasks

Light grids for measuring tasks function in accordance with the barrier principle. This means that transmitter and receiver are housed separately. These housings are installed in such a way that the beam of light from the transmitter hits the optical receiver. Switching output depends on which and how many beams are interrupted. An analog output provides that information in the form of relevant voltage or power. The transmitters are equipped with a test input for function tests.

Through Beam Sensors

The transmitter and the receiver are enclosed in separate housings with Through Beam Sensors. These are mounted so that the light beam emitted by the transmitter strikes the lens at the receiver. wenglor Through Beam Sensors are available with laser light, red light or infrared light. If the active light beam between the transmitter and the receiver is interrupted, the output is switched. Transmitters are equipped with a test input and can thus be checked for correct functioning. The controller works together with the light barriers SA250/EA250 and avoids a mutual influence of the sensors.

Controller for Through Beam Sensors

These Through Beam Sensors are designed for use in combination with the wenglor LV250 Through Beam Sensor controller. Thanks to the high ratio they also work securely in a very dirty surrounding. Use of the wenglor controller rules out any possible interactive influence between light barriers.

Fork Sensors

With Fork Sensors the transmitter and the receiver are integrated into a single housing as a light barrier. If the light beam between the transmitter and the receiver is interrupted, the output is switched. Thanks to the use of visible laser light, the sensor is very easy to align to the object. The use of a fine light beam ensures a small diameter spot over the entire width of the fork. This allows for the recognition of extremely small parts, holes, slots and notches.

Glass Fiber Optic Cables for Color Sensors

This complete family of Color Sensors features modular design characteristics, and can thus be ideally adapted to any application. Various distances from the sensor to the object, as well as different Light Spot sizes, are made possible with the help of additional optics and Glass Fiber Optic Cables. The use of a Glass Fiber Optic Cable is also recommended for difficult to access locations and in high temperature zones of up to 300 °C. Reflex and through beam operation modes are both possible. The sensor generates three different output voltages within a range of 0 … 10 V DC depending upon color and brightness. An SPS, an according software or the wenglor Evaluation Unit of the type FN evaluates these three voltages.

Ultrasonic Sensors

Ultrasonic Sensors

Independently of their material, aggregate state, color or transparency – the wenglor Ultrasonic Sensors detect all objects, even
liquids, foams, granulates or pulver reliably. Like a bat these sensors send out oscillation packages and measure the time it takes until the sonic waves are reflected back to the sensor. The wenglor Ultrasonic Sensors are marked with very high usability and excellent technical data.

Ultrasonic Reflex Sensors for Measuring Tasks

These Ultrasonic Sensors send out pulsed ultrasonic waves of a certain frequency via the transmitting medium air. The sensors evaluate the transit time of the ultrasonic waves reflected by the object. The configuration is made either via the Teach-In keys, via the input or via the IO-Link interface. If the defined switching point is reached, the output switches. The measurement value could be given out as tension value (between 0 … 10 V/4 … 20 mA) or in digital form (IO-Link)

Inductive Proximity Switches

An LC oscillating circuit is located underneath the sensing face of these sensors. The electromagnetic field generated by the LC oscillating circuit is influenced when approached by metal (steel) or nonferrous metals such as aluminum or brass.
